Terms of Service

Komorebi is a web app that offers an AI companion for emotional support and personal growth, plus reflection tools (Kaizen, Ikigai, Wabi-sabi, Shikata ga nai) and a mood journal.

Komorebi is not a medical device, a healthcare service, psychotherapy or an emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. If you are in danger, contact your local emergency number or one of the helplines on our Safety page.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

Replies are generated automatically by an AI model and may be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Use your own judgement and seek a qualified professional for health, legal, financial or other important decisions.

You agree not to use Komorebi to produce illegal content, to harm others, or to attempt to bypass its safety measures or usage limits.

Komorebi offers a free plan with daily usage limits and a paid Premium plan billed monthly in advance through Stripe. The current price is shown on the Pricing page before you pay; taxes may apply depending on your country.

The subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Manage subscription; you keep Premium until the end of the period already paid and you won't be charged again.

Refunds: if you are a consumer in the EU, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the first purchase. By starting to use Premium immediately you ask us to begin the service during that period; if you withdraw, you may be charged proportionally for the days used. To request a refund, contact us (see Contact).

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; the new price applies from the next billing period and you can cancel before it takes effect.

You keep ownership of what you write. You give us the limited permission needed to store and process it to provide the service (including sending it to our AI provider to generate replies), as described in the Privacy page.

You can export or delete your data and your account at any time in Settings.

We work to keep Komorebi available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service, especially from third-party AI providers. We may update features and these terms; significant changes will be notified in the app or by email.

To the extent permitted by law, Komorebi is provided “as is” and we are not liable for indirect damages or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

You can stop using Komorebi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly breach these terms.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
